where is a good spot to pick up a stuffed ponce between baton rouge and lake charles?

was talking to my new neighbors, from minnesota and new york, last night about louisiana food. i am thinking about cooking one for them to try. i wont tell them exactly what it is until after they start eating it.

I would call Best Stop, Don Specialty Meats, Bergerons in Port Allen and Johnsons Boucherie in Lafayette and order one up. Heberts in Maurice.

i was thinking don's or best stop might but was not sure. they are actually hard to find most of the time. my paw-in-law gets theirs from plaucheville but i am not driving there to feed it to strangers.

Poche's at Poche Bridge.

5 minutes north of I-10 at the Breaux Bridge exit.

I have bought them before at Best Stop fresh and I think I saw some a while back at Don's in Scott frozen.

thank ya'll.. they will be for a treat if i can cook it as well as father-in-law does.

i figure some ponce, bourques boudin and cheese bread will make their bland taste buds perk up.
