assuming we win out, Do we go to the Fiesta Bowl and play Boise/TCU?

Or does Auburn regain the #2 spot with a quality win against USCe in the SECCG, and we end up in New Orleans?

The Orange Bowl has a direct tie-in with only the ACC

One Loss AU still gets in over unbeaten TCU or Boise.

AU and LSU to BCS bowls. Under that scenario I think only AU could go to the championship game.

They vacate 12 wins instead of 13.

If LSU wins out and Auburn goes 12-1 I think LSU goes to sugar. 1 loss sec team is better than boise/tcu.....but Auburn has a blackeye so they may not get the same respect most sec champions get.

AU to Sugar

LSU to Orange, most likely.

The more interesting question is what happens if AU beats Bama but looses to South Carolina.

Not sure about that we did it in 2003 because we played Georgia and beat them really bad and OU lost to K-State in the Big 12 Championship. Georgia if I remember was a top 5 team at the end of the regular season. At least top 10 and we beat them pretty bad. But SC is not top 10 right now so I'm not sure how much beating SC will help Auburn. Didn't they already beat them earlier in the year in a close game like we had with Georgia in BR.

How would Auburn have the #2 spot? If they lose to Bama, won't they drop down in the polls, and how could they rise back up just by beating South Carolina?

I think they take momentum into consideration. So, if they lost that late in the season. I doubt they'd make it to the national title game. That's why i hope they win out now.

We really need a Bowls 101 sticky.

The Big 12 Champ goes to the Fiesta unless they are in the BCSCG, that is doubtful this year. The Fiesta also picks last, no way does someone pick the Big East Champ over and SEC team.

And for the millionth time the Oragne Bowl gets the ACC champ they do not get both the ACC and BE, have you guys not been paying attention in the last few years? Cincinnati won the BE last year, they were in the Sugar. WVU won the Big East in 07 and was in the Fiesta.

Bama beating AU is a likely scenario, and they may beat them by 30+. USC v. AU will be a scoring fest.

I think TCU/Boise would jump Auburn and they would play Oregon for the NC. Auburn to the Sugar and LSU at large to Orange.
