Ford has the quickest feet of the bigger backs. Quick, choppy steps. He has the potential to be our best all around runner. Looks to have the ability to run inside or outside, and can break long runs with his good top end speed.

I like Ridley a lot, but no way would he have scored on the botched pitch play. He can't get outside like Ford can.

His inside running is pretty awful though, because of this. If there isn't a three yard wide hole, he sits in one spot and dances.

You do realize that Ford is the smallest of the running backs with Gore playing slot receiver? He is 5'10" - 202 lbs and can't block SEC linebackers. He is a very good runner but he has plenty to work on before he can play as an every down back. Ridley is the best of the backs and all of the current underclassmen look promising.

True. But on the other hand Ridley probably would've caught the pitch and not botched the play. And Ford isn't going to score on that in SEC games.
