I've always favored Ridley in the game and was not amongst those crying for him to get playing time earlier this year, but it looks to me like he has something the other backs have when it comes to big play potential. I know LSU fans despise this idea, but I think running a UF spread with the running backs we have and all the options that we have fits our personel better than anything else. I know we have great wide recievers, but we don't throw it that much as it is now.

First, I think this WR corps is over-rated. Probably mediocre at best compared to what Florida, Georgia and Carolina have. They drop Waaaayyy too many catchable passes-which has also made JJ and JL look bad. Had LSU receivers caught the dozens of passes they've dropped, LSU wouldn't be near the bottom of the FBS stats in passing.

I think Crowton probably wants to run a west coast-type spread offense but Michigan-man Miles likes the smash mouth, 3 yards and a cloud of dust, in your face, grindhouse football. The problem is LSU O has no identity in what it really is this year.

I think Ware is the best of the back ups. His TD was very nice. Laid a hit on the defensive player that was unblocked and then scored. Very nice
