Would you guys feel guilty if LSU went to the big game ahead of say TCU and Boise State when they are undefeated, when LSU did not even win it's own conference or their own division. Don't get me wrong it would be awesome to see. But I just feel like if LSU wanted a chance to get in the championship game, they had a chance to beat Auburn. Since they didn't beat them, they shouldn't worry. That's JMO though.

TCU and Boise should feel guilty if they get in.

when there was some conversation of LSU vs. Georgia in 2007, 'winning the conference' was relevant because LSU AND UGA ARE IN THE SAME CONFERENCE.

now, the boise and tcu stories are nice, but 'winning the wac' is not as much of an accomplishment as winning the sec, or even winning a division in the sec.

no fewer than three teams in the SEC would be undefeated with boise and or tcu's schedule, and it might be more like six.

the goal of the BCS is to put the 'two best teams on the field' for the national title game.

to use one team's championship in an inferior conference as a deciding factor is just plain stupid.

I would be a crime if one of those team gets in ahead of a one loss-Oregon, Auburn, Lsu, Wisconsin or Ohio St.

This thread is like saying "would you feel bad if you got a huge raise for busting your arse while your lazy coworker got nothing?"

If we get in I would be stunned but I would take it. I would not feel bad or guilty. Teams get left out every year. It's not a perfect system. The problem is LSU does not just have to look out for teams in front but also a 1 loss conference champion behind them. The voters might fix it to have a 1 loss Conference Champion. We still have to win out. I know it's unpopular to respect opponents among people on this board but I don't count wins before they happen.
