I'm talking about from when I was a kid in the 80s--early 90s.

Tom Mees
Bob Ley
Berman (pre-douche)
Carrie Ross*
Gayle Gardner
Tim Brando
George Grand
Bill Patrick

Those were the better days.

Neil E and SVP together do a hell of a show. I feel like those guys burn one right before going on, and are entertaining as shite.

Kilborn didn't even start until 1993---the same year as Stu Scott. That don't cut arse with me.

I dont think its the old sportscenter anchors you miss but its the old sportscenter broadcasts back when the Cowboys were good.

the cowboys were terrible during the mid-late 80's. It wasn't until 1991 that there was a ray of hope. You need to re-read your history books yungin'.

Scott Van Pelt- "Let's be honest. We all know SportsCenter has stunk since Dan and Keith left."

If Tim Brando was involved, probably not.

Is this an accurate quote?!?! It would really surprise me if so; ESPN guys never talk bad about ESPN until they leave from there...ie: DP, Olberman, Pidto, Eisen, etc...

Anyone remember CNN Sports Tonight. It was just as good a source of sports news as ESPN back then.

Charlie Stiener. He used to laugh during the show and when Carl Lewis tried to sing the anthem Stiener went apeshit on the set.

I liked Steiner. Always hated Bob Ley and Chris Berman.
