I think he has to make some changes in the offseason, particularly with his offensive coaches, but I am willing to give him another year if he makes some changes.

I am talking to you Crowton.

Chavis was a great hire and the defense has played great all year long. The only game where they gave up a ton of yards was against Auburn but they still kept the game close enough to give us a chance to win. If that game was at LSU we would be undefeated right now.

there is not another headcoach out there i would rather want. seriously. the man is a winner, excellent game planner, tremendous recruiter, nothing but class, and most importantly.. his players go all out for him. they love him.

If I knew with 100 percent certainty we would get Jim Harbaugh or Gary Patterson then yes.

I would still prefer a coaching change if it were reasonably possible, because to me 1 game didn't switch my mind on how he's coached the team.

He's a good coach, but I just don't think he fits at LSU personally.

That said, he really coached a great game on Saturday, but unlike many others I don't change my mind on him solely because he decided to actually coach well for 1 half of football.

I love that we won, but people seem to forget how bad our offense was in the first half and how poorly the time management at the first half went down taking two timeouts into the locker room when were moving the ball at midfield with 10 seconds left.

If what Miles has accomplished so far while at LSU hasn't changed their minds than one win over bama isn't going to. And some of these guys predicted that LSU would never beat bama or UF as long as Miles was the head coach.

I honestly believe that if the man won another NC there would still be some on here that would want him gone.

Amazing how people quickly forget the rest of the season, much less the substance of his tenure here. He definitely deserves another season but people shouldn't forget the fluke wins we got at Florida/Tenn. They shouldn't forget the fluke losses we had the past two years either. Miles has lived on the edge with many of his wins at LSU, he can't always get lucky. However, Bama was not luck. At all. They coached a great game.

I've just accepted what he is. Mediocre gameday coach, needs great assistant hires, great recruiter and speaks a language all his own. What you see is what you get from Miles. They'll play hard and most times it will not be pretty doing so. Do I like him? No. Do I support him as long as he is coaching our team? Yes. Do I think we can do better? Yes. Do I think he needs to be fired now? No.

No, but Crowton needs to be sent on a one way mission trip as soon as the season's over.

Not me. I'm ok with him staying. But amend the contract to change the buyout terms more favorable to LSU, should the program start to tank.

Miles bested a highly talented, full strength team coached by arguably the best college coach in the game, which now arguably is Les Miles.

Finally, it looks like the Perrilloux factor is proving true; as LSU's QB complete passes, miraculously we win in high fashion.

IMO, Miles just nees to fix the QB situation (or the current one needs to continue to progress)and LSU will roll any opponent.

He answered all questions in my mind but 1. That is will he win an SEC West Title and go to Atlanta and win. I give him till next year. Everything has gone our way this year. We have literally gotten every bounce. Les has earned at least another year. I will evaluate after next year.

Why don't we see how the season plays out first?

All the love seems to be coming from one win and Bama may wind up 8-4.

I was very impressed/surprised with the win against Bama.

Still would like to see Crowton gone and Miles bring in a good OC.

If that happened they could be even better next year.

Barring a total collapse Miles should be back unless he leaves on his own. A loss to Ole Miss though is pretty much unacceptable so he needs to win that game to keep the fans/momentum on his side.

Nope...He's the best coach of all time. Why would you even ask that question?

I don't want to lose Les Miles. There are others who want to lure him away. That includes Colorado and the Dallas Cowboys. Do you truly expect that the next coach at LSU would post a better record than Miles'?

We suffered the past couple of seasons at QB. That's because the loss of Ryan Perriloux caused Les and GC to have to throw inexperienced JL and JJ to the wolves! They are getting better, and I believe that the QB play will be considered a strength for LSU's offense at this time next year. Whether that's because a new QB like Mettenberger beats out the current pair, or the current pair continue to improve performance, I don't know.

I've heard names like Gary Patterson and Jim Harbaugh thrown around. They are enjoying the process of building and maintaining great programs. Why would they leave, and what do you think one of them would cost to hire? How do you think they would fare in the SEC while installing their systems? Can they recruit like Les Miles?

Miles has posted the highest winning percentage ever at LSU, and the recruiting seems to be getting just better and better.

The grass only looks better on the other side of the fence. You boys had better stay home and enjoy the grass that Les enjoys!!!

I like his character, integrity and his pride in his team. I like that the players love him. I like his record. He has managed time much better in games of late. He didn't employ those two timeouts before halftime because he felt like LSU was in position to win, as it was. In hindsight, I agree with his decision to not risk doing anything that would hurt JJ's or JL's confidence before opening the offense up in the second half.

I think LFM is a genious!! Let's keep him if we can!!

I have never wanted Miles gone and my posting record will stand for it. Have given many reasons for him to stay. Now, I haven't had a lot of faith in Miles and am still in limbo about it. One game doesn't automatically replace three seasons worth of problems, but has given me more hope than in the past.

You know damn well a lackluster game vs ULM is going to become a reactionary nightmare on here.
