I assumed it to be applied when you characterize your own mood as apathetic, apprehensive, and disappointed. It does not correspond that someone could feel those things and yet exhibit signs of exuberance and excitement.

It's funny how a great original post is being destroyed.

Miss State and Florida (while they're down) are not big wins. Please stop acting like permanent B teamers.

This was my exact quote...

I
quote:

will admit that sometimes when I wake up on Saturdays before big games, I almost have a sense of dread because I know that I am about to go through 3.5 hours of torture of sloppy play, poor coaching and uninspired football. I love LSU with a passion and it is simply painful to watch.

I cheer just like any other LSU fan. However, the OP speaks of the fanbase being apathetic...the reason for apathy is that people are seeing an elite program play a very sloppy brand of football.

Did you enjoy watching the end of the UTenn game (or the whole game for that matter)? What about McNeese? Watching a team play flat and sloppy is not fun...it is frustrating. Am I less of a fan for pointing out the obvious? You people realize the world is a little more complex than that I hope.
