you really don't get it do you?
Forget for a minute that you have any ties to LSU. Let's forget that you love Les Miles. Objectively ask yourself this question:
Does this team, in any way, consistently look like it is well coached?
To clarify, "well coached" means the following:
Low penalty numbers
Few turnovers
Consistent production on either side of the ball
Consistent execution of the gameplan
A gameplan
A look of control throughout a game
Swagger
Discipline
Knowing where to be and being there
Maximization of available talent
Motivated to play every week, for 60 minutes
Continuous play by play improvement
Continuous game by game improvement
Adjusts to wrinkles in game
If you can say, post truth syrum, that this describes the LSU football team in ANY way, I'll concede your point. Unfortunately, the only argument you will have is, "the only thing that matters is Ws and Ls". OR "He's the winningest coach in LSU history". OR "Nick Saban lost to UAB".

These threads are so pointless. It has never been about an acceptable amount of wins. Like it or not Saban built a program that now expects to be ELITE. It is NOT right now...these recruits deserve an ELITE program like they joined. Not a program that is ok with any record...only a program who always strives to be WAY better then everybody else and does not accept anything else. WTF!???

I've seen a Les Miles coached LSU possess all those qualities on several occasions. Are you saying we are lacking in all these categories every game? Are you saying he has the potential to be a good coach, given that he has shown he can produce your list?
Are you saying every other team out there shows these characteristics all the time? That is where our new coach would come from right? Name a coach out there, and I will find you several games where their team looked like they were coached by a monkey. A lot of you seem to think the phenomenon of imperfection doesn't apply to the LSU football coach.
Still not quite answering the question. I guess thread topis are irrelevent to most of y'all.
