Miles VS Crowton

There are many opinions on the subject about who's responsible for the abysmal LSU offensive production.
Some say Les Miles can overrule any offensive call and that the ultimate responsibility lies with the Head Coach, and they are right - it does. But let me ask you this. Do you pay an offensive coordinator $400,000 just so you have to overrule him on EVERY play? No.
In my opinion the offensive woes are the doing of Crowton. Here I give to you irrefutable proof (at least in my eyes) that "The Wizard" is the real reason our offense is once again ranked 100+ for the third straight year. LINK
Sounds familiar? That was in 2006 while he was at Oregon.
Check the records of the teams he's been in charge of the offense. See a pattern?
You can't say that Miles is stifling Crowtons creativity, this is a reoccurring theme of Gary Crowton's offenses.
Personally I believe GC is gone at the end of this year. And if the problem really is Miles' fault, the only way we'll be certain is if our offense is running the same predictable plays with a new OC in place for a year or two.

Crowton failed to take advantage of his highly athletic receivers. Instead he was worrying about which quarterback to play on which down.

all signs point to Crowton
He's the one changing personnel at the most inopportune moments, conceding 3rd and longs by calling run plays or passes that are 5 yds short of the sticks when executed correctly.

Whatever the case, it is obvious that the Hat and GC are not on the same page (see last 4th down play yesterday!?)

You may be right, but the buck stops with Miles. If he's not happy with Crowton, then he needs to fire his arse at the end of the season. LSU simply has too much talent to be wasted in this fashion. Miles can't afford to wait around for Crowton to get a job elsewhere. Nobody wants this clown after he has destroyed our offense like he did at BYU and Oregon.
I shudder to think what next season will be like if our entire coaching staff returns, JJ and JL are once again our only options at QB, and the Mettenberger kid decides to pass on LSU.

Do you pay an offensive coordinator $400,000
