Even though 2008 was a terrible year offensively that years defense often seems to get overlooked. That was the worst defense I have seen since LSU became a powerhouse team. Yet w/ J Lee we still found a way to compete in every game with lost that year except possibly UGA.

let me ask some of you. Has JL responded well to any blitzing and pressure from opposing defenses?

Yes. He's responded quite well in fact. There were several drive during the Florida game when they brought pressure from the corner's and he read it before it even got to him and dumped the ball off on a quick slant.

Sure I would like to see him succeed. What cracks me up is I constantly hear the phrase "He was thrown into the fire". Guess what sports fans. Any and I mean any kid who came right out of HS and was made the starting QB for a program like LSU's would be overjoyed at their own good fortune, and I promise you none of them would regard that twist of fate as being "thrown into the fire". I don't care who starts...Just Beat Auburn!

CLM quote "We're going to play the quarterback with the hot hand." Unquote. My question is WHEN.

Correction, one is terrible, the other is average. I'm okay with average if he can put the ball into our above average players hands.
