does anyone else find it strange that the defense has allowed both Tennessee and Florida to march down the field and score go ahead TDs late in the game?

And as much havoc as the defense creates, it still hasn't created many turnovers except for early against WVU and against MSU.

All I know is that drive was the only one they allowed. UF could have been held to 7 points.

The two other drives were 16 and 17 yard drives.

And the kickoff return.

This defense is legit.

I cannot beleive that anyone can find major fault with this D. Against the teams in the SEC, you simply cannot shut out everybody.

This D equals the 2003 D which was the best I have ever seen.

The reason we are 6-0 is our D, pure and simple.

No it's not too strange. I think it has more to do with the offense not having sustained drives at the end of those games and relying on the defense and thus the defense is tired.

I think our redzone defense isn't as good as last year's.

Other than that, our defense has been freakin awesome the first 6 games

The D is pretty sweet, IMO.

As someone else stated the 3 of the touchdowns were not due to poor defensive play.
1 was due to JJ's INT, 1 was due to PP7's drop, and the other was due to Special Teams failing to stop the kick off return. Look at the total yards allowed by the D. They did pretty awesome.

The lack of sustained drives by the offense in the third quarter resulted in our guys being a little gassed. Plus, Peterson had his cramping/anxiety issues.

All in all, though, this defense is stout

As usual, the reading comprehension skills, or lack thereof, of LSU fans amaze me. My post simply asked if you thought it was strange that a defense that dominated the last two games still allowed the other teams to mount TD-scoring drives to take the lead late in the game.

Is the defense tired? Are the offenses figuring out the defense? Are we changing to a more prevent defense?

I think its partially that offenses figure us out later in the game and adjust to our aggressiveness.

This. Jefferson playing so much in the 3rd and 4th causing too many 3 and outs and yielding a tired defense.

And perhaps if you knew how to read you would see that I and everyone else answered your question. No it is not strange. A defense that basically only allowed one good drive the entire game is not strange. Way to be a D-bag though.
