Next few games I am not going to doubt anything Les Miles calls. He wants to only play Jefferson, I will just assume it a trick. He wants to run it up the middle three times with a minute left and behind by 5..so what, He wants to punt on second down, I will just trust the plan. If they interview him at half and he starts crowing like a rooster, I will just laugh at what a great sense of humor this man has. But I will be damn if I curse my Tigers again at 6-0 or 7-0. Like Les Miles says, his teams compete, I like this team, and we celebrate victory. I am in. I do not understand it, but I support you. It better to be lucky than good and Les Shits Horseshoes .

That is some awesome shite right there

Im really not some big Miles apologist...but you really think Miles was "lucky" last nite?

So he was lucky that JJ threw the ball right to a defender who ran it back to the 17?

He was lucky when PP dropped the punt at the 16?

He was lucky that there was a late hit on the QB that let UF get a first down and continue a drive?

He was lucky that the refs called pass interference on a ball that couldnt have possibly been caught?

He was lucky that for the first time all year, the kick coverage team had a breakdown leading to a return for a TD?

How the shite was Miles lucky last nite?

I think it was Meyer who was shitting horseshoes!

1. JJ INT
2. PP fumble
3. 50 yard -no holding
4. Debose exploding after doing nothing with a TD

We had all the bad luck and once the luck stopped playing a part - we used our rehearsed , previously executed and successful play to make the difference and won the game.

It is ridiculous for us as LSU fans to keep propagating this asinine lucky story when it was actually the other way round!

Are you saying the bounce on the fake punt was not luck?!

I think he and i are both saying that Miles had waaaaayyyy more BAD luck in the game than good luck. Thus he was not sh*tting horseshoes...

It is lighthearted crap maybe the first ten times - after that it gets tired. Maybe you meant it as tongue - in - cheek but the general feeling around here is to ensure that lsu/teams/players/coaches get no credit and that it all came down to luck.

Les made a gutsy call and tried it because it has been a part of his practice special trick plays. We already saw it being successful against Spurrier.

Every play comes down to luck if you consider that the goddamn ball is not a ball but instead an oblong object that could tilt anyway - that is why receivers keep dropping balls that are not thrown perfectly - but we never call a received pass luck because we see it very often.

That is because it is practiced very often.

Similarly when the PR/KR waits and the ball bounces and he catches it - it is not luck , he anticipates and gets the ball but since we see it a hundred times , we don't attribute it to pure luck.

But because it was a play that is usually not done - it is automatically assumed that it was drawn up on a napkin and tried out just then.

It was a gutsy call that had nothing to do with luck.

Les did not hope that the call would work - he has seen it work. He just had to wish that the 1/10 chance of someone batting it down, or stumbling or anything else didn't happen. The ball bounced but (maybe it happened in practice as well) Jasper took care of it and got it done.

As many greats have said before " the harder you work , the luckier you seem to be to your competitors".

If we lose - IT is because Les didn't do his homework

If we won - IT is because Les did his homework

Luck is the crutch used by insecure people to blame others' success.

Let me make this simple

Miles - no luck . Work work hard - then win

no good people say luck - good people say - work is good.

fricking idiot with zero reading comprehension

@ghols2112

Dude - this is not to vent on you or to make fun of you.

You just didn't realize how condescending your friend's fun email was.

-this was explicit - the others were in similar tone (doubting but willing to give a chance)

Why should we as fans degrade our own coach all the time , especially when it is not true.

When he fricks up we are all up in arms - shouldn't we similarly support him when he does something good?

Why is it everyone else wins games they are the best?

Why is it LSU wins a game and dominates that game it is luck?

These kids deserve better than our fans are giving them. Les Miles does not play the games the kids do so give these kids credit they win inspite of the Coaches and the fans!
