heard that stat on WWL a minute ago (off 2 LSU turnovers and kickoff return)
Our defense played well tonight despite what you might think after seeing the 29 pts UF scored. I think our pass D was a little off, but solid once again.
Oh, and here's to Terrance Toliver. Two straight games where he came up big in the clutch.

Yeah, the UF offense threw some nasty shite at us with the 3 different QBs. It would have thrown any D off, and clearly, if Brantley would have played the whole game, it would have gotten ugly.
Also, the LSU D was a penalty here and a penalty there away from playing an even better game than they did.
All this experience against the running QBs will be excellent practice for Cameron Newton...

I think they had 2 yards of total offense in the 2nd quarter and scored 14 points.

secondary looked a little off tonight, i thought. front seven played well.

Not at all. Their big passes came when they picked up our blitz and bought time for Brantley to throw.

Too many subs as usual.
True freshman Vinson gave up a big pass. True freshman Eric Reid was on the field a lot. Peterson had cramps. Eugene was on the field too much.
Still a very good performance by the D. It could have been better, and you wish they would have closed better in the 4th quarter, but you've got to allow for one long scoring drive per game for any defense against tough teams like Florida.

Man I liked the stick that KS had in the hole when Jordan Reed got the direct snap.. Sheppard just couldn't get any help.. That was 1 on 1.. I love our D tho.. We played well on D.. I guess we were due to give up a big play in Sp teams, considering the amount of big plays we have had in sp teams this yr.

UF did pick up the blitz well. Better than anyone we've face I think. Secondary wasn't as good as it has been, but there were more than adequate and did good enough for the win.
