I am exhausted with all the negativity centered around Miles, Crowton, and Jefferson. Change the subject. What is the word about BB practice? I haven't seen any news lately. Are the new freshmen making an impact?

For this team to have a chance to be decent in the SEC we're going to need to see Stringer come in and make a decent impact, Dotson to improve A LOT and Harris to continue getting better.

I am not looking for a good year, Trent lost his best recruit to grades and classes taken.

this team has pieces that last year's team didn't have. players that can shoot the three, who can create on their own and take it to the basket and a big in macolm white who allows storm warren to play at the 4. ralston turner is going to be a good player. if dennis harris takes the next step and settles in at the 3 and can play decent perimeter defense that will be a big bonus. the young kids need to gel quickly and get accustomed to the college game, they have a great leader in storm warren.

I think the team's strength will be in the frontcourt with solid defense and rebounding, however I'm worried about where the scoring will come from. I'm optimistic about White, but I think others are over-hyping him a little too much. It's not like he was all-world at Ole Miss (outside of the 2 games against LSU). That said, I think he should be solid and hopefully the fans don't have too high of expectations for him and hammer him if he doesn't reach them.

Warren and Harris improved greatly last year and I hope the trend continues. Warren reminds me of Tyrus Thomas with his hustle and aggressivness (although sometimes too aggressive, i.e. foul trouble). Harris looks like a Kevin Durant type player (though admittedly not in the same zip code as Durant). He is long and lean and really more of an outside threat than inside. He could be a really difficult matchup problem for teams.

The freshmen are the wildcards. If they live up to their "ranking" then this team could contend for the West Division. Realistically though, I think we finish in the middle of the SEC pack, with next year bringing a return to March.
