Guilbeau was on 690 am earlier and made a good point for once. These clock problems didn't happen under Fisher. Which makes him think it's Crowton.

That actually is a good assesment and if true would lead one to believe Miles doesn't interfere in the playcalling as much as some think. Unless he is tuat fed up with Crowton that he has took over since Jimbo left but I highly doubt that

Guilbeau said last night he was thinking this team loses twice this year. I almost fell out of my chair.

I think it's Crowton causing the snafus but it's Miles' arse on the line.

Really? What about Miles' attempt to expend our last TO after an interception against Tennessee in 05?

If he is that fed up with Crowton, why doesn't he fire him??? It continues to happen so instead of this being Crowton's fault, it's Miles' fault for not firing him in the first place.

Actually that makes sense. Remember back in 05 and 06 all of the last minute comebacks Russell had. (Tennessee, Ole Miss, Bama off the top of my head) There was no confusion, no doubt about what play was being called and no trouble getting the plays in on time.

Now enter Crowton. And you have mass confusion on the sideline, Jefferson looks lost on every play, both QB make the same mistakes over and over, we have trouble getting players in on time when the game is on the line.

didn't Miles have a lot of playclock running down issues with Jimbo and it was all blamed on Jimbo since Miles is never at fault?

It is GC he is too fancy for his own good. Constantly subbing ppl in and out on offense. Picking plays at random. Etc. The thing is, and I've seen it since Flynn and RP in 07. He waits to the very last second to call the play and send the personnel on the field. I remember times where Flynn or RP would be like come on come on, and we would get a delay or burn a time out. This hurts especially late in the game when running out of time. It's also kills all your momentum.

I refuse to believe this. If he made a decent point, he stole the thought from someone else. GG sucks

Finally somebody posts something that makes sense.

That's exactly what is happening. The only thing that's kept the heat off of Crowton is that Miles keeps claiming responsibility for the mistakes. Don't get me wrong Miles is the head coach and taking blame is part of the job, but there are a lot of other coaches on the same pay roll.

I love how people forget that we had Josh Henson back then also in charge of Time Management. He left after the 2008 season where these debacles still weren't common place, and things fall to hell.

Unless Les has someone there to hold his hand like Henson did, he's an utter putz. It is not squarely on GC's head.
