Watch the film. He called for the ball one to two counts before it was snapped. I doubt they had a play to run, but he did call for the snap.

Yes, he clapped his hands together. Looked to me like a call for the ball.

I saw the replay. He is clearly looking around. Why would he call for the snap and not be looking for it when it's snapped?

the initial clap is not a call for the ball...
