Looks like teams have figured out a way to play us defensively

SP will need to adjust. Teams are giving the underneath stuff and just aren't getting burned deep. When we try deep throws, the WRs are doubled covered. They will figure it out, just may take a while.

I actually disagree...we dominated t.o.p. and the game for the most part. We lost one on the 1 yard line, and another costly turnover. We have got to learn how to finish drives and protect the ball. The first turnover was huge!

There's nothing to figure out. The O has started to move the ball well. We need to catch the damn ball and avoid turnovers. We do those things and we win handily.

I agree 32. Call me crazy though, a couple of Drew's passes didn't have zip on them. One to Colston shoulda been higher to the back...one to devery(although catchable) coulda been placed more in front of him...one to Shockey was a lil too low.

I was referring to why we are not seeing the big plays we saw last year. i agree with both of yall, SP and Drew are taking what they are being given, but it seems teams are not going to let them kill them with big plays.

I agree the offense is doing a better job of moving the ball then they were earlier in the season. The turnovers are killing the saints. Should've had at least 10 more pts today.

I think having a sore knee could have quite a bit to do with this for someone who relies on great mechanics as much as drew does

I will say that our WRs are NOT getting as open as they were last year...and it's not even really close. There were multiple replays today where all 3 were just blanketed.

I didn't see much figuring out by Carolina. Without those fumbles, one of which wasn't even cause by a hit, the Saints would have run away with this game.

They are definitely giving up the underneath stuff now and making Drew throw in front of them. Yes, we dominate in TOP but still won by only a field goal.

No big homerun plays like last year. The power formation with meachem play-action that worked A LOT last year hasn't connected yet this season. Though we did end up with a flag today on it.

I agree ...... The opposing coaches have figured out that playing the saints without Reggie and Pierre is the way to go. Just wait until a really smart coach figures out beating the saints without drew brees is easy. We will be doomed.

There have been several long balls that were drops. Today you had one that was a PI on the second drive.

Hell, we got to the one and fumbled it.

We have NOT run the ball well until today, and you saw it open things up a little. We were able to force teams to respect the run last year. This year, we haven't and teams are dropping back. Teams aren't having to blitz this season to get pressure either, thus plenty of men in coverage.

If the OL gets their heads out of their asses, in particular Jahri Evans, then you will see things open up more.
