Why risk it? The offense has enough trouble getting the ball to its supposed playmakers. It just adds plays for Peterson and increases the likelihood of injury or fatigue.

Agreed!!
We have playmakers on offense everywhere except freakin QB!!
If we can't or don't know how to get the ball to the playmakers we already have why waste PP on offense??

Well, I've certainly never heard this before.

It's really a shame when PP has an opportunity to continue a special season only for it to be in jeapordy b/c dumbass has a brain fart and decides to let him play on offense.

This also means he will cramp up and miss snaps on defense/possibly kick returns. Way to go coach....find another way to take points off the board. At this rate, the defense will need to pitch shut outs in order for us to get the W.

Here is how I'd use him.

Put him in the wildcat. Put Shep in motion, fake the handoff, and then run the option to the other (wide) side of the field.

If I were Crowton I'd use Shep a lot like Payton uses Bush. You have to account for him. So make the defense do that and then run away from it. Then switch it up and give Shep the ball. It's not rocket science.

i agree, let's just break in someone else who doesn't know the plays. we have plenty of playmakers already and we need to learn how to get them the ball. the risk of injury is just too great.

man, i'm so glad you made this point, because the 10000 other debates on the topic really didn't reach this depth of analysis and nuanced criticism.
