Check out the Couch to 5K plan I linked earlier... I wasn't in shite for shape and now in less than two months I'm running 2+ miles multiple times per week with no problem. It works, for real... the whole point is to build your endurance up slowly so you don't burn yourself out early and start to hate it.

I'm digging out the stopwatch tonight and giving it a whirl. Sounds like a good plan. Might kill me, but a good plan!
