i for one have given up on jefferson. period. what would be the general feeling if we lose to 14 point underdog broke dick tennessee ? when we hit the meat of this schedule, jj's inability to play at this level will really shine. miles' loyalty is endangering his job, which surely he understands. with the hard part of this year on the immediate horizon, miles surely understands his and crowtons careers are in danger here. he obviously feels lsu has NO chance in improving with lee as qb, and is prepared to sink or swim with the personnel he is now using. maybe he'll look back down the road, and think of the good ole days when he was loved and admired to the point he found laying on the ground a contract extension. this however, will be when he is coaching the western carolina golden flashes

I'd rather waste my time imagining POSSIBLE things... like me winning Powerball.

It's not deep thinking... Just thinking PERIOD.

JJ is a tentative QB, and he's not going to all of a sudden become the QB you're looking for overnight one night. It would take a dramatic turn of events to shake him into that person he needs to be, and leader on the field. It's not magic, it's maturity JJ needs, and that takes time, time that we don't have to wait around for.

He has been given plenty of time. HE IS NOT A QUARTERBACK AND NEVER WILL BE.

This. I highly doubt any of the people calling for Lee would be upset if Jefferson came out and went 17 for 23 with 250 yards and 2 touchdowns. I would be thrilled, and I'd sing his praises. However, that is a hypothetical. In REALITY, JJ has sucked mightily this year.

Trying to divide the fanbase with such idiotic posts does nothing to improve the situation or silence Jefferson's critics. In fact, the critics will hunker down and get louder. The same reaction as to Jefferson saying "I'm not playing poorly. We won." The same reaction as to Les Miles saying that we have a QB competition (sure, but it's fixed like a Black Sox game) or that Jefferson is improving. Don't come in here selling bullsh*t by the pound, because no one is buying an ounce of it.

Not in time that can be measured on earth. Maybe in space time though. Maybe then.

No one (or at least no one I know) is down on JJ because they have something personal against him. We're down on him because, despite his physical talent, he has performed poorly and is, in many people's view, the difference between winning the West or being 3rd or 4th place in it.

If he puts it together and plays well, the criticism will cease and fans will be supportive of him retaining his job as the starting QB of our beloved Tigers.

That answers your hypo.

I don't think so.

For JJ to improve greatly would represent a huge threat to those who can't stand Les Miles and want him gone.

It was Miles'/Pelini's defense in '07 dumbass. So he killed his own defense by promoting Malveto and then fixed it by hiring Chavis.

you probably shouldnt post this unless it's a fact...and even still, you probably shouldnt post this

If he was in special ed., he would have received a cetificate of completion and would not be able to sign with a Div.1 school. He was actually an honor student at Destrehan.
