JJ 38% completion rate for pass ATTEMPTS greater than 10 Yards?

Can anyone verify this?
We all recall the pretty throw to Randle, and I recall the wheel route to Ware, a slant to Toliver longer, and a couple of throws to TE Mitch Joseph that were all completions beyind the 10 yard mark, but not too many others...
If this is true, it MUST change.
Our Running game is pretty good, but not strong enough to carry us with this level of passing.
I guess we have to trust the ESPN staff on this one, but it is hard to believe it is that low.

I hope this isn't THAT game we see Lee.

Why? Have you seen a game this year? We have less than 100 yds passing the last 2 weeks. He has about 15 completions per game. Do the math.
He can't progress enough to look downfield...over and out

Have you watched this team? I'm surprised it's that high

It's really easy to be 38% when you probably have thrown it 10 times greater than 10 yards.

Then it is true, there must be some sort of sinister conspiracy by the coaches and the players to ruin JL's career for some reason. When you losers figure it out, by all means please let the rest of us know please.
It’s a bullshite stat deliberately quoted out of context on purpose you moron. For instance, since most pass attempts exceed 10 yards or more, most quarterbacks also have high incompletion percentages on passes that exceed 10 yards or more and you don’t have to be a rocket scientist to figure that out. Hence, you are obviously dumb and gullible enough to fall for a cheap rhetorical trick that anyone with at least half a brain should be able to see through. Don’t lose your day job soon in this economy you moron, because you won't get another.

How is it out of context? It's a stat, simple as that.

Or it's just that Jefferson is terrible at throwing the ball downfield? I could just as easily argue that there are less defenders in deep zones than there are in intermediate zones. You know that Drew Brees and Phillip Rivers had almost perfect passer ratings on passes over 20 yards last year right?

Are you Jefferson's dad?

Literally impossible

I caught that same stat and wondered if it was giving JJ credit for YAC on the slants and screens where our athletes gain 10 yds or more.
If so, this is a devastating statistic.
Those wanting more "context" should explain what additonal "context" mitigates or explains this god awful stat...

3 games of play and a simple statistic...there is the context...context is only needed when a snapshot is taken, but this is the complete set of data over a 3 game period.

How is it taken out of context? Didn’t I already spell it out for you? Are you really that dense and stupid? Okay you moron, since most passes that are attempted are in excess of 10 yards or more, most incompletions are in excess of 10 yards or more. Hence, if you take JJ’s stats for completion rate on passes in excess of 10 or more yards and compare it with other quarterbacks, it will be very comparable to most other quarterback’s completion rates of 10 or more yards. It was a cheap rhetorical trick, however, you dumb asses are too dense and stupid to figure it out.

How do we know? GC’s play calling has been ultra conservative to the max?

You can argue all day long, but JJ’s stats were deliberately quoted alone as a cheap rhetorical trick without comparison and context to other quarterbacks to make it seem like it’s out of line. However, it’s not you dumb arse! So argue away if you want!

Are you really going to compare a second year college starter to Drew Brees and Phillip Rivers? Can you really be this mentally unhinged? Give me a break, I though I’ve seen it all!

After reading your constant bashing and attacks against JJ in favor of JL starting, I’m absolutely positive you are too stupid to figure out that since nearly every pass exceeds 10 yards, that most quarterbacks have a comparable incompletion rate on passes that exceed 10 or more yards. It was obviously a cheap rhetorical trick deliberately quoted out of context, but dumb as you are it inevitably fed the beast because you are already totally obsessed with bashing JJ in favor of JL starting, like the coaches and players have some sort of sinister plot against him to mysteriously keep him off the field to ruin his career.

If you truly believe this then I'll stop responding to your posts. It might be comparable to Tennessee and Vandy's QBs.

Yeah well yours do too since they bash JJ in favor of making JL the starter!
