Wrong. I watched the game several times.

If our coaches want to run JJ 10 times a game by design while you have RS back there then they need their heads examined.
That's a different issue. However, the coaches do call options and zone reads.

Its like looking at a running backs yards/carry after 1 good game. sure its an average, but the more attampts the RB has, the more that number settles in as extremes are cancelled out.

People conveniently forget when quoting or lackluster passing yards that it is mainly because we don't pass often.

theres a reason we don't pass often.

I dont understand this. why should you only pass when playing good competition? makes no sense to be one-dimensional.

you would think you'd like to get some real-game passing reps in when playing inferior competition.

Geno is a talent. Now, if he doesn't let the crowd noise get to him, he'll have a fine game.

He's looked pretty talented because he hasn't really faced any real competition yet, but I bet his stats will take a sharp nose dive come Saturday night.

frick it both sides can skew stats to ride along with their oppinion

If Jefferson's play on the field that you have seen is adequate for you fine.

If not well thats fine too.

Bottom line is nothing is going to change so either it is good enough for you or it is not....simple as that.

JJ was 10 for 16 last week. We called alot more than 16 passes last week. JJ just turned them into runs.

Go jerk off on a stump Chicot, you have been denigrating JJ and lobbying for JL to start ever since the Spring game.

When we have to come from behind by 2-3TD leads then yall can get at it with the comparing. Miles is telling this guy to manage the game and telling the RBs that they will lead the game. If Miles wants to throw the ball he would. Are you guys saying JJ is going against Miles/Crowton's wishes and he is still starting? Are you saying Miles is allowing this defiance ?

Watch and see, he's gonna show out when the time comes.

I know what you mean....look at the GA team that took you boys to the woodshed a few years ago. We knew they were inferior, that's why we just ran the ball.

We are not that same team and neither are you guys Jesco White junior.

So the youth factor is a lame excuse for JJ. Right? Can't use that one anymore.

I hope you are right, but i think its unfair to JJ to not let him throw the ball against cupcakes, then expect him to bail us out against some of Div 1s best defenses.

I fear the results could be embarassing (Vandyesque, only against a real D). Shame on Miles if it goes down like that. Give the kid a chance to get some continuity with his WRs.

Simply JJ is just not very good.

How do you know that? How do you know he hasn’t improved? Let’s see we played 3 games so for, in the first game JJ showed that he had improved, in the second game he showed that he had regressed, but in his defense he was sick during that game, and in the third game he showed that he had improved again. Hence, why are you denigrating and passing judgment on an LSU player so damn early in the season? You want to put him under more pressure and destroy his ego? How would you like to become the favorite whipping boy of the bulletin boards by losers like you?

So in other words you are as full of shite as always.

Our QB ran 5 times on 3rd down according to the PBP. 3 of which were 3rd and long. These were designed runs? Really??

Go back and watch the game again.. There were many times where he took off instead of throwing the ball.

I re-watched the game three times. He took off running twice when he was running for his life and there were open receivers both times. However, because he was being chased extremely hard he couldn't get his body around to make the throw so tucked the ball in and ran. There was one other design run or pass where he ran for a first down. Other than that, they were all design runs.

QB rating and completion percentage are not heavily affected by how often you pass, so thos excusing JJs low numbers in these areas are not making any sense. Neither is yards per attempt. If JJ has only thrown it half as much as Smith, he should have half the yards and TDs and INTs, but the same completionpercentage, YPA, and passer rating.

If you extrapolate JJs numbers over 101 passing attempts, that is 609 yards and 4 TDs with 2 picks and 5 sacks. I have rounded down for picks and sacks and up for TDs, but those numbers are no where near what Smith has done. Even with inferior opponents, Smith has performed much better than JJ.

So what youre saying is, despite intentionally skewing the numbers in JJs favor, you STILL couldnt make him look good?

WTF are you talking about?

Jefferson did NOT run five times on third down in the MSU game. He only ran three times on third down; all of them were in the First Quarter:

(1) 3rd and 11 at LSU 41 -- Jordan Jefferson rush for 14 yards to the MisSt 45 for a 1ST down.

(2) 3rd and 2 at MSST 37 -- Jordan Jefferson rush for 3 yards to the MisSt 34 for a 1ST down.

(3) 3rd and 1 at MSST 16 -- Jordan Jefferson rush for 2 yards to the MisSt 14 for a 1ST down.
