Forgive me if this has been talked about but I DVR college football live everyday and when they show highlights or any kinda compilation LSU is never shown and if they are shown it's something bad like us getting sacked or jj throwing int when everyone else they show is scoring touchdowns or really good plays!! It's really starting to piss me off because even before the season started they would show only negative things for LSU!! Please tell me if I'm the only one that notices this or it's that obvious how bias they are against us... Again sorry if this was already discussed.

i'm with you on this. the Tigers are noticeable absent from every highlight reel I've seen this season. the only thing I saw so far was Shepard getting nailed by a UNC defender.

I've seen Arkansas, Ga Tech, Iowa, Auburn, FSU, etc.. all teams equal to or less than the Tigers so far in 2010.

I remember a few years ago people used to say LSU, USC and Oklahoma were the media darlings. Now all I see is Crimson Tide documentaries and commercials with Saban eating Little Debbies picked up off the floor. To the winner go the spoils. LSU just needs to keep on winning and we will be back in the news. Hell, I live out of state and all their games are always on TV so that says something there. I did see a new commercial though on ESPN yesterday and in the background you could hear something about somebody is going to sign with LSU during the commercial.

It really shouldn't bother you unless you are a younger fan and think such things matter. We will get our highlights later in the year when we get into the meat of our schedule.

Wait until PP takes out his revenge on Bama for taking away a potentially game changing interception in the form of a punt return for a TD. Then you won't be able to get away from PP7.

the teams that put up big offensive numbers are the teams that they want to follow. we play small-ball but we win games.

Real Tigers don't need no sweet media luvin'.....
Seriously, buck up. I'd much rather be the almost always ignored bad boys of football (and win the big ones) than be propped up, PR hogging ESPN darlings that seem to just not quite make the cut when they get on center stage. Nobody wins 'em all, but
to ESPN. Be a Tiger, not a housecat.

I think you might be a little too sensitive. Its just an intro video. The LSU part is about an 1/8th of a second. There are a butt load of teams that don't even get their colors or logos on. I'm more concerned when E.S.P.N. doesn't consider the Tigers relevant enough for a GameDay stop.

Once upon a time, LSU would show up for the big games. We got plenty of love, remember JaMarcus arm? Big Herm's birthweight? Jacob Hester listening to Elvis? Matt Mauck's gonna be a dentist? We heard that ad nauseum on espn/cbs/fox when we were beating the big boys on the field.

Also, no one in the media has confidence that Les will turn it around. So to them, there is no point in discussing the tigers.

If we get to 6-0, we will enter the conversation

I see what you are talking about. Don't really care about media hype but the highlight reel is getting ro be a joke. Some highlights on there are not from televised games and don't look that special, they have plenty by FCS schools, and the first reel where they showed 99.999% offensive plays, the only defensive play was Shep getting knock tha fug out.

Then on another one where the last highlight is the longest one it shows him getting knocked out again and rolling on the ground. I start laughing because it is getting pretty comical that they keep putting it in. Better see that Reid hit or the many big hits Widowmaker Baker laid on saturday.

And for people who say we don't have any highlights to show what about the 2 or 3 big arse sacks which caused fumbles, one of PP7 30+yard returns or hell his 87 yard TD return. What about a 51yard Shep TD run, 51yard Randle TD catch, 30yard Shep TD run, or a 65yard Ridley TD run.

And for the guy that said the PP7 returns were not special, did both of Miami's returns need to be shown. I mean they were showing 2yard TD catches an 5yard TD runs for crying out loud. I see what the OP is saying but hey, it is what it is right?

I agree.
They showed RS getting smacked by UNC and dropping the ball, but not his 30 yard TD run.

it's pretty obvious that little nicky has become the flavor of the month at espn. we were pretty popular after we punched ohiost in the mouth but the heads at espn/abc would have loved for it to have ended differently. Les calling out Herbie, and by proxy, espn probably left some lingering animosity and they see the blood in the water and they will probably do whatever they can to stir it up. so it geauxs.

espn is great for game coverage and they have served LSU well...but do yourself a favor and skip the drivel and hype.
