There was a topic about different types of corn meal or corn flour and someone said they liked "corn sugar". I tried to research it but could not find any such thing. Where does one find this for frying seafood?

might be because there is no such thing. Sugar has two sources that I am familiar with sugar cane and sugar beets. Corn may be able to produce high fructose corn syrup which technically is a "form" of sugar, but can't be crystallized. The same is true of honey, lactose, and a whole list of things.

It's used a lot in homebrewing, though I'm not sure I've ever seen it elsewhere. Either way, I don't know how useful it'd be for frying food.

Yeah, I have used it in brewing but have never seen it used anywhere else.
