Hey guys I am going to be in Austin the weekend LSU plays UNC. Where is a good sports bar to watch the game. Thanks in advance.

Fox and Hound
chain restuarant/sports bar, but lots of TV's. Also lots of UT fans, but that's everywhere you go in Austin.

Shoal Creek Saloon is the best place for LSU and Saints games in Austin by far. I used to live on Lavaca St. and used to try other places every so often. Nothing compares to the atmosphere at Shaol Creek. The owner is from New Orleans and the LSU Austin Alumni meet there for the games. It's all LSU fans on game days. 
It's on North Lamar with a giant Saints helmet on top of the building. You can't miss it but show up an hour or two early if you want a table.

One more thing about Shoal Creek....they will not serve you unless you have a seat, so the advice to get there early is solid.

or....you could come to Lavaca where we get the entire back room, all the TV's, the giant projector screen, with sound....and a standing room only full of Tiger fans, who will get served whether you're sitting down or standing

We have been going here for the past 5 years, and we have been treated very well. Lavaca Street Bar, located at 405 Lavaca Street, is a new location for LSU football viewings as of 2008. Lavaca added a back area with a huge screen for their projector, and we take that back area over for our games

My daugher goes to UT. Was up there in April. Shoal Creek is awesome! The GM is from La., not the owner is what I was told. The day I was there, was selling crawfish for $5 lb! OUCH. I passed!! and the crawfish come from Jennings area.
