Ok, so in a thread a while back I mentioned putting together some thoughts for people visiting San Fran for the MNF game. Here it is. This is a first draft that I haven't really had time to edit, but I said I would get it up ASAP, so here it is.

Please add suggestions for areas to include or questions that you have.

Feel free to chime in and let me know if things don't jive. You may also know of cool bars for peeps to hang out that missed. To be honest, we don't go out to trendy cool places that often.

I am sure you know of the Black Magic Voodoo Lounge. This is where a lot of Saints fans visit.

Also if you have a out of state license you can legally rent scooters even though you don't have a motorcycle certificate. Take the 2 hour tour on this and get lost in the city.

Yeah, I have never gone there though. I watch the games at Kezar because it is a 15 minute stumble home for me.

Thanks for the info. I'll definately be hitting up tornado and city beer as I am a huge craft beer fan. Gotta get as many westcoast IPA's as I can while I'm in Cali. Also going to take a tour of anchor brewery.

BOTH are great sources of beer! I dindn't mention it but there are some GREAT brewery withing and hour of so of SF on top of Anchor. Lagunitas and Russian River to mention 2. Also, I would suggest a visit to Magnolia to taste their beer.

I like Coit Tower...the Depression-era murals inside are great plus the view from the top is good.

Also, I like North Beach, which is immediately adjacent to Chinatown....one of the best sandwiches I've ever had was at Molinari's Deli in North Beach.

Dean---What about Beach Blanket Babylon?

Yeah, I probably dropped the ball on that one. It is a good place with a LONG tradition. The show was really good the 1 time I have been and the hats are crazy!

Agreed...I've seen it twice and loved it both times...they update it fairly often so that current events are included, but the traditional parts, including the amazing hats, don't change. It's a lot of fun to get a seat in the balcony, buy a bottle of wine, and sit back and enjoy the show.

I love San Francisco...any Saints fans making the trip will have a great time!!
