Did another service have him higher?

A.
those stars are not written in stone.
MO Claiborne was apparently underestimated.
Its someone's idea, based on THEIR points of view.
Its not REALITY as it WILL unfold.
B. However, the rivals ratings are often VERY indicative. Someone ran some numbers a few years ago, I recall, using the stars over a five year period.
There was a HIGH correlation, between being the highest rated recruiting class, out of high school, and actually being #1 in the SEC west. IT DID NOT WORK 100%, but there was a high correlation. the worst the highest rated team did was 2nd.
And sometimes the 2nd team won. being highest rated was based on adding up all the classes for a given school/team.
Most years, the highest recruiting value as a team, won the SEC west.
the numbers I saw were for the SEC west teams, before BAMA had re-arrived. So Auburn and LSU were the big dogs in the data and in real life.
being highest rated was based on adding up all the classes for a given school/team.
I know Nutt and Ark won his first year after he left Murray. That was not based on stars. That was based on rah rah, gung ho!

Can you do the same for Bama and Fla for comparison?

Jeez, WR University here. Seriously though, how many 5* OL are there average a year?
Posted on 8/9/10 at 8:21 pm to tduecen
Cool analysis. Could you do this for Florida as well?
Posted on 8/9/10 at 8:27 pm to tduecen
LSU has a ridiculous WR trio. Jefferson will get them the ball

I'm excited. I really think we will have another 9-3 season, possibly 10-2.
The future for LSU football looks bright.
