I just got off the phone with the ticket office and they said they are at about a 50% renewal rate for existing LSU basketball season tickets! Wow that is a blow! It must be in due to the new tradition fund that went in effect this year!

Basketball Renewal Season tickets 50% drop

frick em. Raise prices after the worst season in years. I voiced my concerns to the ticket office when I called about it and he said this will place a premium on tickets

I'll still be out there though - minus season tickets.

dumbest move ever putting a taf fee on tickets. they have a hard enough time getting people to go to games.

I knew this was gonna happen. Worst decision in many years by LSU regarding ticket sales and it's gonna come back to bite them in the arse. And FYI I renewed my season tickets.

Football is justifiable, basketball (to many) is a laughing stock and LSU should be ashamed. To think there were people defending this a few months ago.

Kentucky/Arkansas, sure - LSU, NO.

This isn't just about the product on the court, but the principle of charging a "donation" to loyal fans.

In football its bad enough, but understandable seeing as it is the sport that actually makes the school money and you only have up to 8 home games max.

For basketball, it is just silly, especially after a down year that is going to keep most casual fans, who didn't realize what the team was dealing with, from coming out for games.

In the end, its a stupid move, and will sadly result in less people at the games.

Ya'll do realize the ticket office knew this would happen. They regret not doing it in Tiger Stadium after Dinardo. All the old timers will give up the seats for the new big money. When the basketball team turns around the money people will pay and have the tickets. Its taken 8 years to start to squeeze out those at Tiger Stadium. PMAC does it in one.

When we're contending for the SEC in two years and a top ten team people will buy tickets. Nobody said it was going to be easy. What scares me is that when we're inevitably good again someone will figure out we have one of the best coaches in the SEC.

NEWSFLASH people- LSU is NOT a basketball school, at least on a consistent basis (1 good year then 2-3 not-so-good years)

Thirty years ago, yes. Today, no. Thirty years ago we had built a consistent winner in basketball and went to the NCAA tournament on a pretty annual basis. Baseball wasn't important to anyone back then.
These days, baseball is the #2 sport at LSU and that's not going to drop off. Even in our most recent final four year, fans did not pack the PMAC and the interest isn't there. It will take several years of a consistency for interest to return. The latest fees added to season tickets is hurting LSU and should not have happened.

Sadly I see no signs of that happening. And I do think Trent is a good coach.

I predicted this- to Aleva

I did not renew mine 30 years of watching LSU basketball rewarded with poor administrative decisions by Aleva-

Good luck to TJ he is going to need it
