graham is alright if you are 18...or a pedo

Graham is probably the only bar downtown that you don't have to be 21 to get into...so it's full of 18-20 year olds pretending to be awesome.

Pancake Pantry is definitely awesome, but yes, get there early. Loveless is alright, but not worth the drive IMHO. Noshville Delicatessen is a great place for breakfast in the Vandy area

Are there any good sports bars around town . We are staying at the Hutton and trying to decide whether to come up Thursday or Friday . If there is a surefire sportsbar with the NFL Network we are there thursday . We need to hunker down to watch the Saints kick some Viking arse .

Agree totally with jason.

DO NOT go downtown to start your evening, especially given that you aren't college freshman. There are plenty of great places to eat and drink in the Midtown area.

If you're in the spirit after a few hours, catch a cheap cab ($10) down to Broadway, and if you want to do a 'tonk, go to either Robert's or Tootsie's. The rest are terrible.

I wouldn't go to Graham Central or any of the Second Avenue bars no matter what the occasion. The only excuse is before a game at LP Field and that's only because of the location to the walking bridge.

How many of you would tell someone visiting NOLA for the first time that the best place to hang out is Bourbon?
