wow its a freaking guy playing basketball, i would never imagine the kind of reaction people are having. Everyone needs some perspective, players leave and get fired all the time but nobody mentions loyalty, I was talking to a cavs fan and he was telling me that they all wanted CP3 because he was a great player and not a traitor like lebron but what he failed to understand is that he would be welcoming a guy who would have done the same thing lebron did only difference is Cleveland would win in this trade.
I really think the brand lebron will not falter, he is nike and wade is converse and i think he will get the better stats and slowly take the team from wade, nike is gonna throw everything they can to make lebron the big guy in the team.

So there was LeBron James, the MVP, the man of the hour, sitting in the middle of his own “Truman Show” on Thursday night.
The only decent line in the whole article.
This guy writes like a college freshman -- rambling on just trying to fill up the page with no real purpose. Does he get paid by the word? It's the only article I've seen that takes down both James and Gilbert. Is he writing to make a point, or does he make his living just tearing down everyone he writes about?
His sanctimonious style is both empty and annoying.

Disagree completely. He has a bunch of quotes and takes from NBA insiders that I've not heard before ("Destroyed his brand", etc.), commented on how SAD LeBron looked (not enough has been made of this), mentioned the tie between LeBron's bandwagonish rooting interests (Yankees, Cowboys) and tied that to his decision, commented astutely on the irony of LeBron's self-created hourlong coronation ending with images of his own burning jerseys in his hometown.... I enjoyed the article very much.

I dont blame Lebron for leaving, and I dont think most people do. The thing everyone has a problem with is how he did it. He could've handled it with a lot more class. I mean he could have atleast called Dan Gilbert prior to this one hour TV special.

THIS!!!!! All this venom over a basketball player that certain naysayers hate.....pretty gay.....People all of a sudden act like they forgot that this is a business.....they realy didn't...just LeBron's method in leaving gives the haters a avenue to blast him. If it wasn't for that, they would have just ran with the "Alpha Dog" theory. All that shite is lame and bogus and anyone emotionaly invested in hating on this guy for doing what the frick he wants to do with his life truly needs to get some real business of their own.......honestly, who would turn down the chance to go in business with close friends in one of the most desireable cities in the world, make a lot of cash and have a chance to be the best company around.....get the frick outta here with all that sanctimonious bullshite!!!!

yeah dude its amazing that bron cant do what makes him happy and what is best for him, talking about how he did it (it was not thta bad at all) is something else and has nothing to do on how good of a player he is. Its funny to read about how bad teammate he is and a quitter, I mean if hes so bad why are the Bron haters so angry he left. This whole thing is amazing nobody can talk about loyalty in the nba not the owners, not the players since they both play for their own interest, not even the fans since all ive read from cavs fans are which players to get rid off

He has a bunch of quotes
He had ONE QUOTE in the whole article -- and that was about Lebron destroying his brand -- which had been reported numerous times. Hardly ground breaking in-depth reporting.
quote:
commented on how SAD LeBron looked
That has also been commented on innumerable times (even by the ESPN guys right after the show). Again, nothing groundbreaking there.
The article also erroneously attributed the idea for the tv announcement to Maverick Carter, when it was ESPN's own Jim Gray who came up with the idea a month ago and had been pitching it to Lebron ever since.
The article made an issue about Lebron being a fan of the Cowboys and Yankees and tied it to his decision to leave Cleveland without pointing out (or taking the time to investigate) the fact that Lebron had been a Cowboy and Yankee fan since high school and he didn't just jump on their bandwagon once he became famous.
And he made no mention of the real straw-that-broke-the-camel's-back reason that made Lebron give up on Cleveland -- that Bosh refused to go play with Lebron in Cleveland even for a max contract.
IMO it was a poorly-researched, glib, superficial, high-horse article with little real substance.

Funny that you got that from the first time you've heard of him or read one of his articles.
Dude is the ultimate Lebron hater. He always has these magical "sources" inside lebron's camp that say negative things about Lebron that no one else EVER has.
He's written at least 6-8 articles for the sole purpose of bashing Lebron since Lebron's game 6 against the Celtics, including 2 in 3 days right after that loss.
No matter what side you're on when it comes to Lebron, this dude is a hack who is clearly on some short of which hunt against Lebron.
I think Lebron shite in his Cheerios.

Like I just said above, he always has these sources that no one else is privy to. Not saying this specific quote, but just in general.
I don't buy it for one second. He hates on Lebron way too much and I truly believe he makes up a lot of this shite.

Of course he didn't, that goes completely against his point.

Completely agree, as are most of his articles.
