I thought it was ridiculous when they had people on here saying how great Garrett looked and he would play next year. Jefferson is our QB and will start every game barring injury. Then J Lee will play in case of injury. It's also ridiculous to say Garrett is not any good. We have no idea how good he is? I know one thing investing all your eggs into a QB who is a major league pitching prospect is not very smart either.

Miles has been pumping up Lee, could some kind of guarantee been given to him that he will play?? You can't force someone to come to school with the possibility of huge bucks being tossed around, but who knows? Maybe Lee really wants a go at football, knowing baseball is still there in a few years. Very interesting story, can't wait to see what Miles has to say on the matter, but if they did drop Garrett's scholly, that is very strange situation. No question that Lee will not redshirt, that's probably part of the plan.

I don't believe this for a second. If Jefferson is not producing Miles will sit him down in a heartbeat. To think injury is the only way he comes off the field is a bit unrealistic IMO.

Best case scenario: The light comes on for Jefferson and Lee this season. Both finally "Get It", either from 1) Improved tutelage from the Crowton/Gonzales/Ensminger coaching trio. 2) A more experienced and overall more talented offensive line. 3) The establishment of a more Bama like power run oriented offense (Led by Michael Ford) that doesn't ask them to do so much. 4) No injuries to either one. 5) The second year Chavis defense plays lights out and takes a lot of the pressure off the offense to score a lot of points in order to win.
Worse case scenario: The light doesn't come on for either JJ or JL, one of them gets injured, Garrett has already transfered out and Zach Lee signs with the Dodgers, leaving LSU up the shite creek without a paddle. If that happens, you can stick a knife and fork in Les Miles, because him and his era will effectively be done.........
