Is the drill pipe from deepwater horizon inside the casing @ that depth? If so what problems could that cause?

the actual act of drilling through the casing is a matter of hours. it's been done accidentally an innumerable number of times throughout history when wells collide.

the final approach into the casing and getting everything just so in preparation for milling it is what takes the time.

and there may be drill pipe from the horizon down there. there was about 3500' of pipe below the BOP stack at the time of the blowout. it may be hung in the BOP's, but it may have finally severred and fallen.
