Has anyone tried Niche on Siegen yet?
why DOES EVERY fricking restaurant serve the same damn shite in BR ?? look at that fricking menu .. they might as well call that place and 70% of the other places in this town SYSCO DINER ... now two other fairly decent specialized restaurants couldn't make it there, but these jackbags think they have built the better mousetrap with a cookie cutter concept ?

This is from the guy who brought us Po-boy express. Just like the guys who bring us the crap at Las Palmas. They are in it to make money, not good food.

The Niche Bar & Grill is set to open on Siegen Lane before July. "We hope to catch the World Cup," says Ause Ismail, who will own the restaurant. Ismail's family owns and runs Po-Boy Express, which has four locations in Baton Rouge and Denham Springs. Niche Bar & Grill will feature staples such as hamburgers, po-boys and fried seafood and sell draft beer, but Ismail says it will be more than just a sports bar. It will occupy the old Los Gallos location; the Mexican restaurant failed to renew its lease. Plans are to hire 15 to 20 employees at the Niche. And where does the name come from? Economics classes Ismail took at LSU. "That word always stuck in my head. I figured 'Niche' would be a great name for a restaurant, and it's worked well," he says. —Timothy Boone

The more I try new places in and around Baton Rouge, the more I want to open my own restaurant.

If only I had a few million in capital...
