Me too, at 45mph. I was belted in and walked away uninjured. The other driver was not belted and was in the hospital for a month.
But if this was a case where he got t-boned it's another matter, doors just aren't heavy enough to take that kind of impact.

It looks like mid-city because the street car tracks are on the side of the neutral ground instead of on the neutral ground. That is the 3 lane portion of Carrollton.

Just talked to Michael Bonnette at LSU, is true, he spoke with family members as well. No word on condition, but he said he'll update us as soon as he hears something.

Jeff Palermo spoke with Chad Jones father and confirmed reports of accident. Nothing further other than what they reported earlier per Dave Cohen at WWL.

Chad Jones was one of my favorite Tigers. I hope the reports of his injuries are over exaggerated and that he makes a full recovery.

LSU 2-sport athlete Chad Jones has been involved in a car crash in New Orleans.
WWL.com columnist Jeff Palermo talked with Jones' father, who was headed to the hospital. Alfred Jones confirmed his son was hurt, but said he was alert when paramedics took him to the emergency room.
Jones won national championships with the LSU football team and the Tiger Baseball team. He played defensive back, punt returner and pitcher.
The New York Giants drafted Jones in the NFL and the Milwaukee Brewers picked him in the Major League Baseball draft.
