WVU brings nothing to the table. This isn't about football, this is about money. Mizzou brings St. Louis and Kansas City t.v. markets. West Virginia brings about 12 mobile homes with antennas. But Virginia Tech is probably higher on the list than both of those schools.
I disagree. The SEC currently has the best TV deal. We don't have the markets others have, it all about the quality of the product.
Let's List: (I'm leaving NYC out) and some might be listed twice
SEC Major Markets (5.5)
Hotlanta 2.3
Tampa 1.8
Orlando 1.4
ACC Major Markets (9.1)
Boston 2.4
DC? 2,3
Tampa 1.8
Miami 1.5
Charlottle 1.1
Big 10 Major Markets (11.7)
Chicago 3.5
Philly 3.0
Detroit 1.8
Minn 1.7
Cleveland 1.5
Indy 1.1
Big 12 Major Markets (7.3)
Dallas 2.5
Houston 2.1
Denver 1.5
St. Louis 1.2
Pac 10 Major Markets (14.3)
LA 5.7
San Fran 2.5
Phoenix 1.8
Seattle 1.8
Sacramento 1.4
Portland 1.1
That's your top 25 markets, doesn't really add up does it.....

If all this talk comes to fruition....then I think both the Big 12 and Big East are dead.
Big 10 & ACC will raid Big East to get to 16 teams.
SEC will pick up a few as well to get to 16.

ACC Major Markets
DC?
Definitely DC is an ACC market. Maryland's campus is in the DC metro area, and VT is huge around here, too. If we could snag VT, the SEC would get a lot more coverage around here, which would be great for us SEC expats here in the nation's capital.
That's only in football, of course. In hoops, it's still a Big East (Georgetown) first, ACC (Maryland) second market.

him thinking WVU doesn't get ratings is just foolish. Most of the fans don't even live in WV anymore.
