Texas doesn't want to join the SEC because they can't really bully the conference like they canthe Big 12 and could the new Pac-10 if they carried five schools with them. Academics is a cover story. It has always been a figleaf.

Thats for research universities. Why dont you pull up the top 65 public schools and compare those numbers. SEC=Big 12

Right, if Oklahoma State and Texas Tech are good enough for Texas, so are Arkansas, Mississippi State, and LSU. But they don't want to be in the SEC, especially if they bring 4 or 5 teams with them into another conference.
