I remember 1 of the contras in recent years was damn near impossible to beat, gotta look thru my old games when i get home

They already put the original contra on xbox live arcade. Unfortunately, it was the lame arcade version instead of the NES one.

If done right, a new 2-D version could kick arse, but they will likely frick it up.

I did hear about a new arcade version of earthworm Jim that will have 4 player co-op. That will be a clusterfrick. Should be out sometime this month...

I thought it was the same, no? I DL'd it a long time ago, and haven't played it since then, but I seem to remember it being the same. I may be remembering wrong though...

Not as many levels in arcade version. It has slightly different visuals as well. I would have preferred the console version that I grew up playing.

I also do not like the new anime art style. I prefer the 80s-ed out style with the Stallone/Schwarzenegger inspiration for the character models.
