What dish makes you cringe when other people order it at restaurants?

I lose respect for fellow diners when I'm at a fairly decent restaurant and someone orders anything fried.
It just seems like they have no sense of adventure. When I eat out, I have no interest in simply making a turd. I want to try something I can't easily do at home. Fried foods are just plain boring.
Also, there isn't a more boring sushi than plain sashimi. A slab of fish on a nugget of white rice? Yawn.

The only thing that makes me "cringe" at the dinner table is poor manners. "Poor manners" includes many things, such as being a cheap tipper.

As a libertarian I don't care what they order. But if someone ordered fried liver with coconuts I'd gag from the smell. So far, it hasn't happened.

Hamburger Steak - My ex ordered a hamburger steak at Middendorf's and the waitress asked him if he was serious and warned him it's something she doesn't even know if they have on hand because nobody orders hamburger steak at that place.
Well done steak.

Not meant in a disrespectful way, but not surprisingly this board draws a good percentage of food snobs.
IMHO taste trumps all. Eat what you like, life's too short to worry about image and perception.
Now I do cringe when a someone goes to a restaurant that specializes in a certain cuisine and orders something nowhere near that specialty area. You know what I'm talking about.

a slab of fish on a nugget of white rice is nigri sushi. sashimi is "plain fish" - though if the fish is high quality it doesn't need accouterment.
