Zach Lee: Chances that He Takes the Helm as QB, NOT JUST THIS YEAR

So, Zach Lee is a Baseball Badarse.
If he forgoes a million dollars from the MLB to come to LSU, I assume he will be eager to develop his baseball skills.
So, why are people on this site hoping he comes in to play QB for the Tigers? Could he develop into a great QB while spending his spring with the baseball team? If he started at QB while playing baseball, that would be awesome. Is he just that good? Fill me in.
ETA: Title CAPSLOCK addendum. Of course we don't want/expect him to start this year over Junior QB JJ. That was not what I was talking about. The Rant is a broken record.

He is really good. Saw him play in person. Time will tell. Not sure about baseball. I hear he is a beast in baseball.

Its been done before. Kyle Parker at Clemson, John Elway comes to mind as well; but knowing Les Miles insistence on playing upperclassmen I would hate to even imagine how badly JJ and JL would have to play to put a freshman on the field. Z Lee would have to know that he's sitting for at least two years before even getting a shot at playing time. With that baseball money out there its a real longshot that he'll ever play QB.

He is on a football scholarship and we have crappy QB play the past two years. We need some hope for the future.

If Jones and Mitchell are any indication of Miles' policy, Lee will have to participate in spring practice and miss about 6 weeks of baseball. Mitchell got out of spring practice his last year when it was decided he would opt for baseball.

I think Zach Lee gets drafted, goes pro and plays for four or five years then comes back to a school to play QB a la Matt Mauck, Chris Winkie.
If he were to come to LSU though, I don't think he would be the ACE starting pitcher or starting QB right away. That would give him time to develop as a QB or pitcher and let both coaching staffs figure out who needs him more and let him figure out which one he wants to concentrate on more.
For the immediate future though, JJ is your QB.

Hopefully, zero.
Zach taking over means we are in deep do-do, I would think.

Based on the QB develop reputation of Miles/Crowton he probably should put a lot of emphasis on baseball.
