I was in Grand Isle this weekend. Rough as hell offshore so we never went that way. We walked the beach and saw no oil there. In the backwaters, we again saw no oil. On Friday, it was as if you could smell something, but I did not smell it on Saturday, so not sure if that was real or not. I did not go by Sand Dollar. Plenty of people fishing the back waters this weekend. Saturday sucked for most, but Sunday, a few caught specks.

Well it's official, I'm driving over to GI tomorrow night to do some Thursday morning fishing. Wish me luck.

I am heading down this evening for what I had scheduled as a bay/marsh fishing weekend. After talking to Sand Dollar they are not sure if the lanuch will be open to the public....meeting going on right now..........I will be pissed if i missed the last weekend of many not fishing in our paradise!
