Another oil clean up idea. What y'all think?

then what the hell do you do with the oil soaked hay floating around?

The Company I work for makes about 80% of their money from filtering oil out of water. We do alot of well flowbacks and pipeline treatment. We have this powder that we could disperse over the oil, which would immediately soak it up and wouldn't let it go. Then we could just scoop the chunks up off the top of the water and off the beaches. We are trying to get in touch with BP because we know we could definitely help out. Hopefully they turn some of their focus to the clean up.

another good alternative to hay is bagasse from sugar cane. Very absorbant cellulosic material, and can also be burned for fuel when saturated with oil.
