We may take 3 QB's in this class if we get the quality

No way do we take three in a year that's:

1. short on scholarships.
2. loaded in-state
3. has some big fish out of state that are legitimately interested.

We need to build a base here with the the most important position in FB

I agree with that but I don't think that we need 3 to build this base. Even if Lee doesn't get on campus because of baseball. If we can sign two guys like Oliver and Williams or Bridgewater then I think that sets us up just fine for the future.

Bridgewater would be a great get but there has been word out in the past that he prefers and might play wide receiver in college. Can LSU afford to get another QB that switches or might switch positions after getting on campus?

I thought it was the opposite. People are projecting him to move to WR and he wants to be a QB.

In all fairness, I've yet to see Oliver play, and didn't comment on him. Will try to catch a CHS game this Fall.

Just remarked about recruitniks missing the boat on another CHS QB in Major Applewhite, of whom the two occasions when I saw him in person, knew that schools were missing out on him bigtime..Weiner's pass per gm/leash and Parade AA RB/Minor, masked a winner that threw darts.

J/w if you have ever seen Oliver play, I dont see how you can say he is over-rated. At least explain why you think that.

This can be proven because if LSU is 23 in the nation, the fan base wants to burn Miles' house down.

We could still be a really good team with the 23rd best qb in the country.

I would love to see another white Quarterback lead LSU to their fourth National Championship.

Just saw where Scout.com ranks Oliver in the top 25 QB's in the nation... 4th in the Southeast

yea buddy...as a student for Catholic High, I have seen Oliver's games in his sophomore year and junior last fall. The guy has progressed tremendously from that 2008 4-5 season the Bears had. Interceptions went way down, sacks went down too. Plus people got to see him run the ball more and with more effectiveness. He can improve more and the sky's the limit when u see his dedication. He is a good player and will break CHS' passing record held by Ryan Lewis-i think.
For all those saying he's overrated, see the stats of the soph and jr year for Oliver. The difference is huge. The guy gets better as he progresses. Am I saying he's like Tim Tebow or Brock Berlin or Colt McCoy? No but I am saying he's really good and very very dedicated. He can go to wherever he can, NO DOUBT
