Yeah, the DI stuff is all wrapped up, probably about the time that the incident happened last season. Definitely by the time Miles learned from Juliet's spirit that "it worked," (meaning the hydrogen bomb).
Fred, just post your questions here.

Thought I mentioned those things enough on here where people knew what I was talking about.

if the dharma initiative is all wrapped up why were they still dropping supplies on the island?
and miles would be dead if there was not still some story to go about his father

What?

The show should have been about the Oceanic Six from the beginning, with every other person on that plane dying in the plane crash. Every sixth episode would have been about one of the central character's backstory, instead of wasting time with the likes of Charlie, Boone, Shannon (at least she was hot), Eko, Walt, and Michael, as welll as countless others, not the least of which is the seemingly pointless Dharma Initiative. You could have incorporated characters like Ben and Desmond into the mix in later seasons but eliminated all the filler.
dude that would have been boring as frick

Because they still had people on the island.

I get this question, and wouldn't mind knowing. Then again, I'm ok if we don't get the answer.

it would aggravate me, the story wouldn't make sense.
But i agree with previous poster that thinks they messed up in the process and changed a big part of the plot that will leave a lot of questions unanswered.
Not to say i just need answers but the last 6 years need to actually make sense.

I think Darlton said on a podcast they plan on answering this, since I too find this to be one of the most confusing mysteries.

Darlton, in case you didn't know, is an abbreviated form of the two head writers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse, and they are the writers who always do the podcasts.

Yes, I know, and it's gayer than 2 men having butt sex.
