Patriots Will Host Al Woods

I was really surprised after reading this article. It really makes me wonder how come we couldn't get any real production out of this guy. I hope he goes on to represent us well!

New England could pair the 6-foot-4, 309-pound Woods with Vince Wilfork and Ty Warren to give the Patriots a dominant defensive front. Woods possesses the versatility to play either the 5-technique or the nose tackle spot in New England's system...ran an unofficial 5.12 second 40-yard dash and showed a vertical leap of 37 inches, nearly two inches higher than the average wide receiver in the last three years....could be a second-round steal

Woods never fit into our system, as we had no need for a nose tackle.

The Patriots made a living drafting LSU players and won 3 SBs, but some idiot Saints' fans don't think the Tigers are good enough to consider.

I'm related to a couple of teamates of his from Elton. They said that he would dunk like stupid and recruiters loved his leaping ability for his size.
As far as the Patriots, Bill B. Loves those mid-round picks. He has traditionally taken Saban's players in the past b/c of what they are able to do in prep for his style of D. What he likely sees in woods, is someone who is bright and teachable, PLUS this guy is just a really good guy.
I think he could be a good fit there.
