March - A little rough as we find/test most of the starters.
April - Some setbacks as we find the role players and the all important Lester Earl "chemistry."
May -We hit the groove and drive to Omaha.
June - We prove that we are the best.

This is all great. For as smart as you are trying to appear.... what you are typing has nothing to do with what I am talking about.

None of that has anything to do with me saying that I think our OOC scheduling could be improved to what it once used to be.

You have watched LSU baseball for 35; kudos to you. I don't really care though. It's irrelevant to this discussion.

I ranted on team chemistry? I think i mentioned it in 1 sentence.

this is the "rant" ..thus you "ranted".

What adversity does an LSU baseball team face in preseason? Seriously? Did you even follow the Bertman years?

quote:

struggling to win a tight game....coming back from a deficit...etc...

LSU does that all the time. Did you not watch LSU come from an 8-0 deficit in the 6th inning to win the other nite? Jeez...how did they ever do that without playing Texas first?

quote:

I hardly ranted on it...It's only one of the few things that could be gained by playing a better team.

You've ranted ALOT about it...and you have proved absolutely nothing as far as ..

"playing a tough OOC schedule means LSU will do better in SEC competition."

NOTHING.

So just stop. You're embarrassing yourself.

ehh not really.

shite, meaning what??

you dont see the difference between teams like William and Mary/Brown/Centenary

as opposed to Houston, UAB, NSU, and even McNese St?

you've never played baseball in your life, I can almost tell.

against a team they shouldnt have been down to in the 1st place, that wont sniff the postseason??

Exactly my point. The players cant even get up for a game like that until they are down 8-0.

That is the PERFECT example. Perfect. Thanks for playing.

Someone corrected the others. I don't know how that got misinterpreted. I was obviously talking about games played in the south by teams from the north during cold months.

I was reading too fast.

There are a lot of threads for me to read, and fortunately, I'm not a frequent poster on the rant. I normally start my bitching and increasing of the post count elsewhere.

LSU plays..pre SEC.. Kansas, Centenary, Pepperdine, McNeese St, Ul Monroe and others...and that differs from our preseason schedule during the past...well...ever..how? Seriously...name the years we played anything remotely tougher than this schedule. When did we play Baseball powerhouses prior to SEC play? Im just curious. Why wont you give this up? Seriously.

Ya..I should have. I should have realized a loser with 100K posts would stay up..well...forever. And sorry to disappoint you but I did play baseball thru junior college. Ya it was in the 70s/80s...but still.

I said "Almost every Championship season the formula is the same despite the competition. Baseball has a playoff, football doesn't." Thanks for dropping the part of my post that makes you look stupid and focusing on the part that really was a throw away.

Beam me up Jim, there's no life on this planet. What a total waste of time.

in other words you are a casual LSU baseball fan. Or sports fan, for that matter.

it's great that you can see the big picture. But if you cannot break down what is going from March to June, then I can't really debate with you.

It's much more than "LSU tests the waters in March and April. LSU plays in the SEC. Then LSU wins the National championship."

It's great that you think it is that easy, and that it is some simple formula. I guess I'll see ya around again when LSU is in Omaha since none of this really matters right now.

Haven't missed a game in those 35 years. I'm a lot less reactionary than people like you. It's a shame that you don't really enjoy the game to its fullest.

We've never been one to play top OOC teams.

that's only true the last couple years. in the past we've traveled to arizona state, long beach, houston, rice, etc. yeah we've always played shitty muidweek games, but everyone does unless they happen to have another dominant team w/i their state, which we used to but not anymore

to revisit this..

LSU schedule this year includes:

23 games against teams that made the NCAA tourney last year
10 games against teams that made a Super Regional
4 games against teams that made it to the CWS

the UVA schedule includes:

23 games against teams that made the NCAA tourney last year
12 games against teams that made a Super Regional
3 games against teams that made it to the CWS

maybe they shouldnt talk about LSUs schedule..
