They keep saying on NFL Network that Sean Weatherspoon wants to play MLB. Does this have any effect on us going after him in the draft? Or would we just try to draft him and say oh well, just play OLB. Thoughts?

He'll be a rookie...he has no say it where he plays.

I'm sure if he gets a shot at starting for the defending Super Bowl Champs in an aggressive defense where he can make plays he'll line up wherever GW tells him to go.

Don't MLB's usually get more money than OLB's? He might just be trying to position himself for a more lucrative career.

Weatherspoon's an OLB. But with his combine performance he might go top 15 now

It looks like he will go much earlier than the 32nd pick. I was really hoping he would fall to us though.

all the interviews i see.. he says he models himself after lance briggs (whom i think he reminds me of).. and how briggs is so good at the weakside position.. so i'm not sure about this wanting to play mlb.. the guy has a great personality and wants to make the kind of impact that briggs made with the bears on a team. he'd be in a great position to have that same impact in new orleans.. starting and playing along a probowler in vilma.
