Ensminger MAY be the best hire, it JUST DOES NOT SEEM THAT MANY AGREE WITH YOUR GLOWING ENDORSEMENT.

Whatever!

Miles seems to take the "easy way out," in so many respects.

He sputtered and puttered and waited till the cows come home to hire this guy. Whether he is an LSU guy or not, is really immaterial/irrelevant. Is he the best person to hire? I just don't think he is the guy.

Just like Miles, he tries to give a purpose to his procrastinations.....

What is wrong with taking your time and finding the guy you believe is the right hire? You bashers will stop at nothing to continue an agenda.

So you wait til the "day of practice"?

Then you F'ing postpone your spring practice until the "new hire" is acclimated?

It proves alot about Miles tendencies: easy way out; procrastinating; putting off what you need to do.

So he HAPPENS to make the hire on the 25th? What an obvious continuation of his disorganization, chaos and candyazzin

Glad to have you back home Steve. I like your hire, and there are many people like me. You can't please everyone, as we all know, but you will have the support of the majority of Tiger fans. We'll be pulling for you and all the Tigers next season. Make us proud!

the Frank Wilson and Gonzalez hires were highly applauded, so it's bullshite that everyone is out to get Miles and will bash him for everything. Make a good hire, and most ppl will give credit.

Maybe it's just my perception but those hires combined weren't applauded nearly as much as this one has bitched and belly-ached over.

I really doubt that.

Probably true but that's always the case with positive news vs negative news in anything.

hey when I first read what Brian posted I thought it might be steves brother Brian but unless he moved to Lake Charles he couldn't be. Brian was an assistant at Hahnville and his son was a QB also.

He is an LA guy, has a decent resume, can coach offensive positions and QB's. Glad that Les now has 2 LA guys with Frank, Joe Rob, and Steve.

i think lsu should be able to get someone better than a high school positional coach.

apparently he doesn't like to recruit, so since the positional coach won't make or break the team get someone who is a good recruiter.

who is rolling the dice because he wants a chance to come to his dream job and try to fix the situation and not run to flippin' Conference USA to coach special teams

this is the dumbest thing i've ever heard

i know lsu said that is what happened, but it isn't. they postponed spring practice in order to give certain players some penalty runs and extra conditioning

I think LSU pays position coaches better than a high school does

chill out, man. a lot of fans, myself included like the hire. we just didn't speak up. many of those that do speak up wouldn't be satisfied with any hire; they just love to critisize. i thing steve will do a great job for LSU and am glad to see him back in teh LSU family.

Yea, that was the only thing on his resume and nothing outside of football factored into him staying in Auburn for an extra year...

I dont even really have an opinion about it. what the frick do I know about TE coaching candidates? Although I wouldve rather a straight up QB coach.

I am curious, and I'm sure its been answered in another thread, as to how a guy goes from being a OC at Texas A&M to coaching high school.

He coached in high school last year so he could stay in Auburn for one more year to let his daughter graduate highschool. He was on Tubby's staff at Auburn before that and was going to be on another college staff this year.

Cool. I cant believe there are real strong opinions about this guy. Who here could even name the former TE coach before he left? It's the least important position coach, esp since our offense now requires the TE to stay in and block to help out this shithead OL.
