Not a knock on you at all as I trust your judgement. I just don't understand how Turner at WM has 0 buzz with his numbers as well as where he plays while Magee and Landry are gushed over. You've seen his highlights. The kid is elusive and that 4.12 pro shuttle should be getting him more attention. Maybe we'll see more after the camp circuit this summer.

Turner was a very difficult prospect to fit in the rankings. I agree completely with you that the skill is there for him to be much higher. However, he is purely an athlete and I wonder where he will play at the college level. If he works out at CB and shuts people down during the camp circuit, he is going to fly up the rankings--and he has that kind of potential. I am just hesitant to put him way up there this early.

Looking at where he is ranked at 22, you have these guys in general ranked around him:

I gave R. Thomas a big bump with the LSU offer in hand and the other solid reports on him coming out. However, there still is no film on him so I didn't want to push him any higher.

Williams is someone you can argue should be even higher, but the grades make him an automatic JUCO style guy. He will push a little higher eventually I would imagine.

White is a current commit, so that is something holding his spot for now.

Jonah and Trai are two very intriguing guys. There measurables are perfect and a lot of good things are being said about these two. I hope film comes out soon on them. Road grater style OL are big time players and are less of a 'risk' to rank a little higher than a pure ATH, IMO. So, that is why I have them there.

Byrd has pure size and ability, but is a tweener. He can play small D1 at WR, but could be a solid prospect at S if he increases his defensive mentality. Again, the 6'3 frame and mix of talents is why I have him there.

Then you are to Turner.

Then Prescott who is an interesting QB prospect and Davis who there is no film of yet. Davis is someone that is said to have serious hops, but with no footage, it is hard to substantiate things. He has good size though.

Hopefully that gives a little bit of the reasoning for why I put Turner where I have him currently.

I will not hesitate to move him up or down if needed.
