I think it's a really tough job being a moderator around here.

After all you want there to be informed discussion on tigerdroppings most of all. The problem with a lot of (most probably) posts is that people put so little thought into them before posting. The posts I probably got teh most tired of were ones along the line of "why bother bringing in this player, the coaches won't know how to use him"

I mean seriously - come on. I think we're all wanting a ton of improvement on offense this year... but bad-mouthing the coaches and assuming failure is just not the way to go

There's really not a black and white line where a poster crosses over from being reasonable and upset to being an irrational little girl either... kind of hard to come down hard on people immediately unless they are wishing harm on a player, his family, or calling him a retard I think

you could nuke about 10 posters here and have objective discussion where both pro and con viewpoints are made

Armand will be a very physical player with jumping ability. He is a sleeper that may be the next LeFell.

This board has always been cyclical. When it gets closer to NSD, people will naturally pay more attention to what is going on. It comes with the good and bad. From about now till June/July you'll start seeing the best of this board (hopefully). This is when people who enjoy the recruiting really come out and start discussing the players. If you pay attention, it's easy to spot the guys that enjoy it. However, even the ones who do enjoy it will tell you that it's all speculative; perception, at best. Recruiting is high risk investments at it's finest.

Ranting and bitching is not productive at all on this board. There is a board for that type of posting. However, I would hope a post such as this, for example, would be deemed appropriate:

Sadly, posts like the one above multiply here like maggots at certain times; usually whenever bama signs a 5-star, we lose a game, a certain player has a bad game, we lose a recruit, or we sign someone who is a 3-star. They demean the entire board.

However, I do not want the board to be a place where we cannot constructively criticize recruits or our process. There is a difference between criticism and bashing and some people cannot see that difference.
